Samsung Launches The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 Projectors

Press Release  |  Aug 26, 2024

New ultra-short throw lineup offers advanced laser technology, stunning 4K resolution, enhanced sound and smart features for the ultimate home cinema experience

Ridgefield Park, NJ – Aug. 26, 2024 – Samsung Electronics America today announced the launch of its latest innovations in home entertainment, The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7. These ultra-short throw projectors, designed to deliver an unparalleled viewing experience, transform any living space into a premium home cinema with stunning 4K resolution, immersive audio and other advanced features.

“Research finds the #1 factor buyers search for in a new projector is whether it provides a cinematic experience. That’s why we’ve refreshed our award-winning lineup of The Premiere projectors to make it even easier for you to experience theater-like visuals, right at home” said James Fishler, Senior Vice President of Home Entertainment, Samsung Electronics America. “The Premiere 9 and 7 transform your everyday living space into an immersive viewing hub, delivering incredible picture quality, immersive sound and endless ways to enjoy your favorite content. They truly set the standard for modern home entertainment.”

Cutting-Edge Picture and Sound Quality
The new Samsung entries in The Premiere lineup meet the growing demand for high-quality entertainment solutions, bringing the cinema experience to your home with cutting-edge laser technology. As a certified HDR10+ projector, The Premiere 9 features triple laser technology for enhanced color accuracy and brightness, while both models offer ultra-short throw capabilities and vibrant 4K resolution on screens up to 130 inches(1).

The Premiere brings every scene to life in vibrant 4K resolution and exceptional color. The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 provide color gamut coverage of 154% and 100% of the DCI-P3 standard(2), respectively which deliver clear and vivid images in various environments. With a maximum brightness of 3,450 ISO lumens(3) for The Premiere 9 and 2,500 ISO lumens for The Premiere 7, these projectors both deliver sharp and dynamic visuals(4).

To further enhance picture quality, The Premiere projectors are equipped with innovative AI picture enhancements, including 4K AI Upscaling(5) and Vision Booster. 4K AI Upscaling ensures that content is displayed in stunning 4K resolution, regardless of its original quality, while Vision Booster automatically adjusts color and contrast in various lighting conditions for optimal picture quality.

The built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos technology in both models provide powerful and immersive audio, creating a true home theater experience without the need for additional sound equipment. The Premiere 9 features 40W 2.2.2 channel up-firing speakers, while The Premiere 7 includes 30W 2.2ch speakers that envelop you in an expansive dome of sound.

Samsung Tizen OS Offers User-Friendly Streaming, Gaming and Connectivity
The Premiere projectors come with Samsung Tizen OS, offering access to a wide range of streaming services, including Samsung TV Plus, Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and more. This extensive selection ensures that users can always enjoy all their favorite movies and TV shows, providing a comprehensive entertainment experience at the click of a button.

For gaming enthusiasts, the newly integrated Samsung Gaming Hub(6) provides access to over 3,000 premium titles from partners like XBOX – no console required.

For those who want to customize their space, Custom Ambient allows you to cultivate your own unique vibe through a wide array of projection options including downloaded content, custom drawings, personal photos or even a suite of interactive widgets.

The Premiere projectors also enhance connectivity, providing a seamless and integrated entertainment experience. Even when not being used as a fully cinematic projector, The Premiere ensures convenience and entertainment for all consumers as a Smart speaker with hands-free voice control and a variety of music applications.

These voice commands extend to the SmartThings hub as well, allowing you to control and manage smart home devices such as lights, thermostats and security systems, right from your couch. You can also effortlessly share content from your smartphone to the big screen with Tap View and Mirroring.

A Design Fit for Any Home Environment
The Premiere projectors feature a minimalist, warm white design with rounded edges and a premium fabric finish from Kvadrat, a Danish textile design company, helping the devices blend seamlessly with any home decor.

Setting up either model of The Premiere is simple — users merely need to plug in the projector and connect to a wireless network. Ultra-short throw capabilities eliminate the need for complex installations, allowing users to enjoy large-screen projections with minimal effort. The compact size and easy installation make the projectors an ideal fit for any room, maximizing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
